L3 Linux Admin
Key Responsibilities
- IT Sys Admin L3
- Incident Management – Handle escalations from L1 support
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents.
- Log and update incidents in the ticketing system, documenting resolution steps.
- Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA
- Perform regular maintenance of servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, Any new OS).
- Write automation scripts in python or bash
- Maintain ansible playbooks
- Access Management for OnPrem and Cloud Servers
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions in LDAP, or other directory services.
- Resolve escalated issues related to user access, password resets, and permissions.
- Monitor user activity for security and compliance.
- Work with L3 or network teams for advanced network troubleshooting.
- Enforce and maintain security policies, including file and folder permissions.
- Identify potential security threats and escalate them to the security team.
- Use monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds to proactively identify potential
system issues. - Respond to alerts generated by monitoring systems.
- Suggest and implement system improvements to prevent recurring incidents.
- Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify and escalate complex issues that require L3 or vendor support.
- Collaborate with specialists or external vendors for hardware replacements or advanced
configurations.
